Cypress was the first choice for Iranian Gardens (PARDIS). In all famous Iranian gardens such as Fin Garden, Maahaan, Dowlat-Abad and etc. this tree plays the central rule. The most ancient living Cypress is located in Abarkooh, near Shiraz. Its age is estimated around 5000 years.
